About the Role
The Systems Engineer will play a critical role in the development and sustainment of advanced EO/IR and UAV systems, supporting programs from concept through production. This position is responsible for defining and managing system requirements, supporting system design, integration, verification, and test activities, and ensuring overall product performance meets customer and mission objectives. Working closely with cross‑functional engineering teams and program leadership, the Systems Engineer will conduct trade studies, support failure investigations, and present technical results to internal and external stakeholders, while contributing to the successful execution of complex defense programs.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated experience in Systems Engineering.
Experience working with EO/IR optical systems and UAV platforms.
Strong understanding of the Systems Engineering Product Development Lifecycle, including requirements, design, integration, verification, and validation.
Preferred:
Master’s degree in a STEM discipline.
Experience serving as an Engineering Lead or leading teams of engineers.
Experience in systems safety and reliability engineering.
Responsibilities
Develop, update, maintain, and continuously improve system and product requirements.
Support system design, system verification, system integration, and test activities across development and production programs.
Perform system and product performance analysis to ensure compliance with technical and customer requirements.
Support and participate in failure investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action development.
Conduct and support trade studies, technical analyses, and design evaluations.
Develop technical presentations and briefings for internal leadership and external customers.
Support programs throughout the lifecycle, including development, transition to production, and production sustainment.
Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams including mechanical, electrical, software, test, and manufacturing engineering.
